LMPC Registration

LMPC certificate is an acronym to Legal Metrology Packaged Commodities certificate that is mandatory for the import of pre-packaged products. As per the Legal Metrology Act, 2009; all importers of pre-packaged items must register themselves under rule 27 of the Legal Metrology Packaged Commodities Rules, 2011. Obtaining an LMPC certificate signifies that the pre-packaged goods are handled correctly, and their measurements are reliable and accurate.

Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) is the National Standard Body of India established under the BIS Act 2016 for the development of the activities of standardization and quality certification of goods. Import Export Code (IEC) Online Registration and IEC Update

An Importer -Exporter Code (IEC) is a 10-digit key business identification number which mandatory for export from India or Import to India. This code is allotted by Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) to the applicants. No export or import shall be made by any person without obtaining an IEC unless specifically exempted

Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS) Registration

Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS) is a licensing program effective since 1st November 2019 applicable for steel importers launched as a platform by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. As a part of Notification No. 17/2015-2020 Dated: 5th September, 2019, the Government introduced Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS) by amending the import policy of iron and steel in ITC (HS) Chapter No 72, 73 and 86 from “Free” to “Free subject to compulsory registration under Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS)”

Paper Import Monitoring System (PIMS) Registration

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade introduced Paper Import Monitoring System (PIMS) with the purpose of recording precise information related to the import of Paper and Paper products under Chapter 48 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule-1 (i.e. around 201 tariff lines). The Import policy of these products are now changed from ‘Free’ to ‘Free subject to compulsory registration under PIMS’.

Chip Import Monitoring System (CHIMS) Registration

The DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) has launched a new mandatory CHIMS registration for importers in India importing several electronic and electrical goods such as Integrated Circuits, processors, etc.

Copper Import Monitoring System (NFMIMS) Registration

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade introduced Copper Import Monitoring System (NFMIMS) with the purpose of recording precise information related to the import of Copper under Chapter 74 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule-1 (i.e. around 46 tariff lines).

Coal Import Monitoring System (CIMS) Registration

The DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) has launched a new mandatory CIMS registration for importers in India importing coal. This registration is in effect from 01.04.2021 and applies to the Import of Coal shall require compulsory registration under the Coal Import Monitoring System (CIMS) as per DGFT Notification No. 17/2015-2020 dated 05.09.2019.
